June 2025 Mama of the Month

☀️ Summer Kickoff: June Mama of the Month

Meet our June Mama of the Month, Jenn Maine!

Tell us about your family!

My husband, Gabe, and I have two rambunctious little girls, Georgia (8 years old) and Amelia (6 years old). We are entering the sports and activity chapter of life with them. Looking forward to all the things they will learn to do because we want to do them too!

Where is your hometown?

Lake Charles, Louisiana……. that's right! Bringing a little something southern to this corner of the world.

What is/was your current/previous career?

I have been a Freight Forwarder for nearly 20 years. When products are manufactured or sold overseas, I assist manufacturers in relocating their products to the desired destination to facilitate the sale of their goods. Think of a travel agent for transporting products on aircrafts and vessels.

How did you find FIT4MOM?

To be honest, I prayed for a friend to work out with. I used to hold my breath that it would be my husband, and when that didn’t happen, I asked for help and got it!

How long have you been a member of FIT4MOM North Hills, and what has it done for you?

A little over a year, and looking forward to another! I am so much stronger and know I can do things I might otherwise doubt that I couldn’t athletically do.

What is your favorite class exercise?

Clamshells! We have to get ready for the outdoor portable restrooms this summer, and those hit every muscle in the region!

What classes do you currently attend, and why do you love them?

Body Well - It makes me think about the total picture. Not only do I get healthy, but my family does too through meal prep, and sometimes the girls join in on my workouts as well.

What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?

That our hearts never stop growing. The love keeps flowing and gets bigger and deeper every. single. day.

What is your proudest mommy moment so far?

Looking at the NICU room camera sign that said “LOOK MOM! IN ROOM AIR” for my second, who couldn’t come home with us right away. Nothing is better than when they do something on their own, but this step was huge for us.

What advice would you go back and tell yourself as a new mom?

Don’t stress about today. Take 20 minutes to plan your tomorrow and make it happen!

Anything else you'd like to add?

Build silly traditions! I didn’t have many traditions growing up, but my kids seem to hold on to certain activity memories and ask when we’ll do them again. Things like building paper hats for board game night!!
